Enjoyed spending time with a bright and inquisitive group of @UofNorthDakota law students (including the indomitable Quinn), hosted by my neighbor across the hall, @GovArmstrong and First Lady Kjersti! #UND#Law
Always fun talking to UND law students about the benefits of a law degree and legal experience in public service. Thanks to @DrewWrigley and Kjersti for being there to answer the tough questions.
Murdered by a defendant arrested 14 times before. Legislators who killed our #TruthInSentencing legislation were concerned that “violent defendants would lose hope” if ND law made them serve sentences given by ND judges.
The ND public is w/us… and reform will arrive.

🚨Appreciate United States Atty General @PamBondi@TheJusticeDept and fellow state AGs who gathered at the @WhiteHouse to discuss safety, integrity and fairness in women’s sports. It’s a matter of #CivilRights 🚨
🚨The ND Senate passed our “Truth In Sentencing” bill this morning, and here’s why… violent criminals in ND serve just a fraction of the Judge’s sentence. Released to reoffend! Law enforcement and public safety demand SB2128🚨 STAY TUNED!

🚨 @GovDougBurgum confirmed: US Interior Sec!
The 🎯visionary leader to oversee 🇺🇸’s twin stewardship obligations of conservation & public utilization of our God-given natural resources.
ND: “You’re welcome, America & 🌎”
@POTUS chose impactfully and wisely!

On January 27th, we observe #InternationalHolocaustRemembranceDay, marking the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945. We honor and will never forget the six million Jewish victims and all those persecuted during the Holocaust.
I couldn't think of a better appointment to make than Jill Kringstad as Public Service Commissioner for my first official appointment as governor of North Dakota.
With more than eight years of service to the Public Service Commission and her private sector experience in the energy and utility industry, Jill has the background and knowledge base to serve our citizens well on the PSC.
She understands that the success of our state and nation depends on a stable regulatory framework and strong supply of reliable, affordable, dispatchable energy.

North Dakota Attorney General @DrewWrigley says a fatal police-involved shooting in Fargo in November was “reasonable, justified and lawful in every way.”

In 1841, Abraham Lincoln was having suicidal thoughts.
They had to remove all sharp objects from his room.
Doctors said he had an incurable mental illness.
But this 'illness' would later save a nation: 🧵
“Gambling interests want out from under the oversight of Atty Gen Drew Wrigley, who has taken a hard line with them. This may be one of the sharpest debates of the upcoming legislative session.”

It is always a joy to catch up with my friend, ND Attorney General @DrewWrigley, when he is in Washington. Drew is working tirelessly to fight for the best interests of North Dakotans, highlighting our state’s excellence and pushing back against federal overreach.
Another sad day in America. It’s hard to believe our country has come to this. I’m grateful President Trump was unharmed and will pray for his continued safety.
🚨Major court victory for women in athletics & education! ND & partner states stopped the Biden-Harris admin’s new rule destroying Title IX (post below👇🏻) The ruling in our favor protects five decades of gains for women athletes & equality. Thx @Riley_Gaines_ !

This evil and senseless event underscores the need for Americans to come together and show one another love and respect, not hatred and contempt," said Fedorchak in a statement. https://t.co/kvEo4qY9FY
The ceremony also honored Officers Andrew Dotas & Tyler Hawes who were critically injured and Ofc. Zach Robinson who ended the threat on that fateful day. Karlee Koswick, the civilian who was shot in the barrage of gunfire, was also in attendance and awarded a Purple Heart.
