Spent the last days playing with Omarchy, I love the shell and plugin ecosystem, not that much the pre-installs and assumptions it does. So i made a tool for arch + hyprland users that want the omarchy shell on top of their systems. Demo:

Some days ago I showed this on Reddit: As a linux user, I love my Arch + Hyprland setup, but I also liked the idea of being able to use a plugin marketplace like the one Omarchy offers.
So I built omarchy-plugin-bridge, a minimal-invassive plugin manager for hyprland:
I understand that omarchy has cool features, but man, there is so many people hyping on features present on ANY regular arch + hyprland setup with one config line…
It basically works cloning upstream to a local folder, and setting up a config with no active features to avoid messing up with an existing configuration. Then it provides a nice CLI interface to make it easy to manage and update plugins! Repo:

@giovanniJurado@LLMJunky Omarchy is just arch. Arch has latest linux kernel, so even newest drivers are available. I have perfect support for mu CPU with GPU integrated with even the NPU working, last year processor.
@riad02654485129 fair point, but then I think that an in-between spot between omarchy ease of use/install and macos aim for general public (not only devs) would be awesome. Omarchy is too opinionated for me
This got misunderstood: zero hate towards Omarchy, I love the work it is doing by bringing Linux to a wider audience! Just wanted to state it has way cooler features that make it unique. Loving the plugin ecosystem btw, I want to try something with it, will update here if works

@vaxryy Absolutely, sorry if the post was misunderstood. I am also hyped about Omarchy and I am trying a few things with it in a dedicated VM, my only take here was that it ships a lot of original cool things that make it REALLY unique. Love your work on hyprland :)
Very interesting approach for improving version control pipelines, specially in an era in an era in which there are so many things happening between commits.
We are about to see how a lot of tools that were thought for manual interactions evolve to more automated approaches
