Today, the Social Protection and Governance & Decentralisation Sectors convened a one-day retreat in Kigali under the theme “Align and Advance.” The retreat aimed to strengthen inter-sectoral collaboration, review implementation progress, identify actionable cross-sectoral synergies, and develop practical solutions to accelerate the achievement of sector targets.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Minister @Dominiquehab reaffirmed Rwanda’s conviction that sustainable development is anchored in strong partnerships and effective collaboration that deliver impact beyond projects.
Reflecting on this partnership, the Minister stated: “Throughout this process, Development Partners and other stakeholders have played an instrumental role by providing technical expertise, policy insights, financing, and implementation support that have enriched both the design and delivery of our national development agenda”.

Today, we kicked off a 2-day training on budget monitoring, social accountability and advocacy on the effectiveness of gender responsive budgeting, and #GBV response structures at local and national levels for the staff of Trocaire partners, Goal 2 and 3, operating in the districts of Rulindo, Nyamagabe and Nyaruguru.
This training was organized to strengthen participants’ capacity to monitor public budgets, promote social accountability, and advocate for effective implementation of gender responsive budgeting and #GBV response systems at local and national levels

This morning, at the Rwanda Military Academy – Gako, Prime Minister Nsengiyumva is chairing a consultative meeting bringing together Central and Local Government leaders to advance citizen-centered governance, reinforce collaboration, and enhance service delivery.
In his opening remarks, Prime Minister recalled that: “We must strive to work together with unity of purpose, while strengthening coordination and collaboration across all institutions. Let us remember that our strength lies in effective teamwork. Delivering quality services to citizens should be embedded in our culture, as it is our duty as leaders.”

From commitment to concrete action, the Seal strengthens leadership, advances pay equity and promotes safe workplaces.
As our Deputy Resident Representative @NChinbuah noted, “The Seal is not simply a certification mechanism. It is a transformational accountability framework.”

We wrapped up an information session on the new NGO law compliance with @GovernanceRw and RCSP members. We reflected on progress, shared experiences, and openly discussed challenges. While steps have been made, compliance levels remain low as the deadline draw closer.
