@Web3summit@gavofyork Historical data point:
Three years ago, with DOT at $5, he spawned into his own Polkadot conference with a 2-bodyguard security patch. Assuming correlation between token price and founder paranoia, projected bodyguard count = 10.

Sometimes I wonder what air-gapped life feels like.
Bro still hasn’t parsed the protocol: everything we’ve ever shipped is the exact inverse of what he’s asking for. Why would we hard-fork the culture now?
We’re consensus leaders inside our own little permissioned echo chamber.
Web3F @Web3foundation ,Parity @paritytech , as well as other player with a significant stake or interest in Polkadot and eco, HIRE ME!
I will develop an anti-crisis plan for @Polkadot and help execute it. Otherwise, we are all as community screwed up badly.
I don't want my five years of contributions to the Polkadot ecosystem to be trashed such a blatant manner.
Here are the basics:
- Restore the trust of community members and projects. Recognize long-time contributors. Show them respect and invite them back to contribute.
- Support the strong ones who continue no matter what, not the weak ones who stopped immediately when the money flow stopped.
- No democracy for now. Small, effective teams of professionals and executors don't waste time on endless discussions.
- Establish direct connections with key players who can benefit Polkadot, such as validators, exchanges, and market makers.
- Start negotiating directly with key EVM services and large EVM wallets to bring them to Polkadot.
- Effective work means more than just occupying a position. It means making aggressive daily contributions and effectively engaging the community, not making empty promises over the years.
Someone needs really kick and deliver and not frightened all the time!

We’d apologize, if our Chief of Staff didn’t know exactly what he was doing.
Our ecosystem clout comes from the top, and we always deliver.
Sorry to see you go. Please don’t apply here.
You’d be a misfit.

Farewell Hydra, see you around.
6 years ago @gregusjakub and I sat in Progressbar Hackerspace, pissed off at AMM inefficiencies and decided to build something better.
I'd have burned out from my previous work, was nearly homeless after helping friends for free. Organizing events, building products and hardware. But I knew I wanted to work on real decentralization.

18 more days until the candle worshippers realize a panic pivot over ‘token price bad’ might not deliver what they wanted.
When the horse has a broken leg, changing the saddle is theater.
But theater is the strategy. Especially when you keep breaking the leg.

Observe the masterclass: exit responsibility, retain control, and move on like nothing happened.
At the same time, confuse tokenholders with perfectly broken framing.
We’re almost jealous of the flawless execution.
If only things had gone smoothly.
But no roadmap is complete without Hindenburg-sized potholes. We’re proud of every one. Great talking points.
Caring about them was never part of the plan.
a guy comes up on stage at a small meetup to casually explain to maybe 40 people how they’re about to build systems that make nation states irrelevant over time
(not in the sense that govs would collapse, but that for many economic and coordination functions, states would no longer be needed as the default authority)
all while nursing a beer bottle throughout his talk
the audience is shouting out answers, someone’s heckling about spelling,
he’s mentioning about white powder and accidentally almost describes drug dealing,
all laughs,
then changes analogy to being a farmer in turkey and his wheat biz
talk is generally about freedom, forces of nature, rethinking what law even means
many projections made that year happened in some form actually: smart contracts/escrow, defi, daos, ens/did, oracles
in 2026 tho, this is like watching early internet people talk about how the web would democratize knowledge and flatten hierarchies, and technically they are not wrong,
but the version we got was facebook, twitter, tiktok, amazon and many other successful bizs

@Juanma0x@Web3foundation Impressive comms hygiene.
Parity once again shows elite audience calibration: communicate a support-model change in a way that CT reads as ‘Parity is abandoning Polkadot.’
Classic case of technical people shipping messaging to non-technical audiences without a comms layer.

Exactly. Sovereign decision-making, zero stakeholder context, no rationale shared.
We’ll do what we want, how we want, and the ecosystem can reverse-engineer the intent afterward.
Unpopular opinion: Transparency kills blockchains
Managing the Polkadot treasury spending openly has attracted more criticism than ROI.
The Proof of Personhood will demonstrate that the number of real users will be disappointing.
(although both initiatives are noble)
