Excited to have been selected to attend the @PSDP_AMSPDC conference this spring! Can’t wait to learn from pediatrician scientists across the country! Thank you @unc_peds for your support!
Our manuscript was officially published today! Excited to publish this work co-first authored with @bijan_abar on associations between genetic conditions in offspring and pregnancy health complications! Thank you Dr. Jennifer Cohen for the opportunity! https://t.co/mx2r1YMrnR
Did u know your child’s doctor is paid 25% less than adult docs with the same yrs of training and debt? The way we fund care in this country is backwards, leading to a dwindling pool of med grads choosing pediatrics @bvincibmc and I propose a fix here: https://t.co/wMnHK7DALs
A timely call from @SalliePermar and Robert Vinci on the financial pressures causing declines in pediatricians and pediatric scientists, with 30% of pediatric residency spots unfilled in the match this year. @PSDP_AMSPDC

Man it really bothers me when people label certain specialty residency programs as “easy.” All it does is invalidate any mental/physical challenges trainees may have, and it’s just flat out wrong.
Congratulations to the 2023 Michelle P. Winn Award recipients: Rebecca Gibson; Steven Shipes; Tomi Akinyemiju, PhD; and the Duke Clinical Research Institute Government Trials & Networks (GTN) Anti-Racism Working Group. @DukeRadiology@DCRINews@DukeGHI

It’s the guns. And the cowardice of politicians to do something about it. Gun violence is the leading cause of death in children. Not cancer, not infections, not falls. Guns.
