Super excited to see the first paper of my PhD in the @ProfDaveLeigh group out in @Nature! Incredible team to work with, thanks to @YansongRen and Dan! Hopefully, more cool science coming soon 😁
In @Nature, a tape-reading molecule that reads stereochemistry rather than nucleotide codons😃 https://t.co/rSYjlAZJy5 Congrats to @YansongRen@RJamagne & Dan! Many tks to @SciCommStudios for graphics & animation🙏 [📽️:bottom left=tape potential energy surface; right=CD spectrum]
Don't miss this #OpenAccess review by Romain Jamagne, Martin J. Power, Zhi-Hui Zhang, Germán Zango, Benjamin Gibber and @ProfDaveLeigh

Interested in learning how to form interlocked molecules that are not thermodynamically favored and therefore not accessible by standard passive template methodologies?
Come and check this review written during my PhD now out in @ChemSocRev 🤗

Happy to see my first publication of my PhD out in JACS! We implement phosphine chemistry to drive a stepwise molecular motor! Big thanks for the collaboration with
Patrick Zwick, @StefanBorsley, and
@ProfDaveLeigh!
Stay tuned!🔥 https://t.co/ObmcHThqda
Just online now, we wrote a little perspective in @NatureChemistry, trying to wrap up the field of Pd(II)-photoswitchable cages and envisioned the exciting future ahead!🥳🧑🔬

A gratifying finish to a very busy year:#NotSoSecretSanta with the geneva team involving modified covers, chocolate, glue and toiletpaper (dont ask but oh the smiling faces🤩😋) followed by a very swiss dinner by invitation of @matile_group
You are wonderful @RickhausGroup 👏👏
It was a privilege presenting a poster with @AlexBetts95 at @RSC_MASC in
Birmingham. Met wonderful people doing fantastic research! Stay tuned for our endergonic synthesis paper with @ProfDaveLeigh and our colleagues in 2024..
Out now in @NatRevChem. We look at how the ratchet mechanisms that drive directional motion in biology and in the lab can also drive chemical reactions. Inaccessible transformations, like endergonic synthesis, become possible by adding some energy.

#chemjobs#chemtwitter#RealTimeChem@Chemjobber@RealTimeChem RTs appreciated!
Super thrilled to share that last week I succesfully defended my PhD Thesis!!👨🎓
This 4-year journey has now come to an end and I want to thank all the people that were a part of it! Special thanks to @ProfDaveLeigh for the great opportunity (and for the british sparkling wine🫠)
After working on molecular machines, the journey continues as a postdoctoral researcher in the @RickhausGroup working on the development of 2D materials. Thanks to @MichelRickhaus for this new opportunity, and stay tuned for more cool chemistry!
Out now in Chem @Chem_CP. We show that, much like enzymes, conformational selection in artificial catalyst can accelerate reactions.
As an emergent property, the dynamic catalyst also acts an autonomous chemically-fuelled molecular motor. https://t.co/LtsdGteaVJ
🥳A dimensional leap! 🤩Very happy to say we snatched a very hard-to-get @snsf_ch#StartingGrant (= Swiss ERC StG) to dig deeper into molecular topographies and how these 3D pi-shapes help us to build new 2D materials @sciences_UNIGE
PhD openings coming very (!) soon👀#applynow
I've always enjoyed the @UoMChemistry PGR conference for the showcase of amazing research done in our department! It was a pleasure to be presenting my work in the @ProfDaveLeigh group, and I'm honoured to have won the prize for my session! Congrats to all the people involved!
The Chemistry PGR Conference ended on a high last Friday. Thank you to all the exceptional students who made the conference a resounding success! Your dedication and hard work inspired us all! ✨🔬 #Conference#StudentAchievements
Excited by chemical fuelling, molecular machinery & knots? Research Coordinator/Lecturer position available https://t.co/8lwycZe6gY to work within, coordinate the research, and support the activities of our research group. Short deadline (Aug 3rd) for those who'd like to apply.
