🛡️ சென்னை பெருநகர காவல்துறை, போக்சோ (POCSO) சட்டத்தின் கீழ் வரும் குற்றங்கள் தொடர்பான ஒரு முக்கிய வழக்கை விசாரித்து வருகிறது. இதில், சிறுமி ஒருவரின் புகைப்படம் அல்லது காணொளி ஊடகங்கள் மற்றும் சமூக வலைதளங்களில் பகிரப்பட்டிருப்பது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது.

⚠️ சிறுமி ஒருவரின் இத்தகைய புகைப்படங்களைப் பகிர்வது ஒரு குற்றமாகும். அத்தகைய புகைப்படங்களை வெளியிடுவது போக்சோ (POCSO) சட்ட பிரிவு 23(2)-ன் கீழ் குற்றமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. எனவே, இது தொடர்பான தகவல்களைப் பொதுவெளியில் பகிர வேண்டாம் என்று அறிவுறுத்தப்படுகிறது.

📢 இவ்வழக்கு தொடர்பான ஆதாரங்கள் ஏதேனும் இருப்பின், அவற்றை பெருநகர சென்னை காவல்துறையிடம் சமர்ப்பிக்குமாறு கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.

🚨 Greater Chennai Police is investigating a sensitive case related to POCSO offences. It has been observed that certain photographs/clips of a minor girl have been shared in media as well as in Social media handles.

⚠️ Sharing of any such pictures of a minor is a criminal offence. Publication of any such picture is an offence under section 23(2) POCSO Act and warrants legal action. Hence it is requested not to share any such information in public. Anyone having evidence related to this case may produce it with Greater Chennai Police.

Before marrying VVS Laxman, she was given a warning.

He told her that being an Indian cricketer’s wife would mean a life of constant travel, uncertainty and sacrifice.

Sailaja met Laxman through an arranged marriage proposal in 2003.

They first met at her aunt’s house, shortly before Laxman left for the United States.

Laxman later recalled that he wanted to be completely honest with her.

He told her that cricket wasn’t a normal 9-to-5 job.

There would be endless practice.

Long tours.

And plenty of time away from home.

Sailaja was only 22 and was completing her Master of Computer Applications.

She still chose to marry him.

They met a few more times after Laxman returned from the US and realised they were on the same wavelength.

They eventually married on February 16, 2004.

Years later, Laxman openly acknowledged what that decision had meant for Sailaja.

She travelled with him around the world, later raised their children largely on her own, and stood by him through the highs and lows of his career.

As a woman, I want to say this because I witnessed it myself.

I met my thangai Minister Keerthana at Kamatchi Hospital after her collarbone surgery. Doctors had advised around 20 days of rest, but within 4 days she was back at work because of her commitment to the state. Even while she was at hospital bed, she was coordinating the Chief Minister's London visit. Her first question every single day wasn't about her pain or her tablets; it was whether every company and every arrangement was on time. I told her to relax, she wouldn't.

And what struck me most is this: when Minister Aadhav Sir said she was unwell for a few days, the opposition ecosystem didn't pause to ask about what was the reason, or recovery, or what she may have actually gone through. Their minds went straight to one reason: menstruation. That reflex, that a woman's absence can only ever mean one thing, says nothing about her and everything about your regressive mindset. Women are not defined by their cycles. We are leaders, professionals, mothers, daughters carrying illness, injury and duty all at once, and still showing up. Reducing a woman's every unexplained day to her biology is an old habit of attacking a woman's body when her work can't be faulted.

4 days after, still recovering, on painkillers and still wearing a bandage, she went straight back to meeting companies and signing MoUs, one after another, without a pause.

This regressive mindset needs to stop. We should be celebrating women who continue to lead through difficult circumstances, not discussing their cycles.

Women deserve better than this. Tamil Nadu deserves better than this.
