The best part of Anahat Singh's story is that nobody would have advised her to do this.
She was a Delhi kid who loved badminton, chasing the same PV Sindhu dream as every other girl in the city.
Squash came into her life almost by mistake.
Her older sister Amira played, and little Anahat would tag along to the courts at Siri Fort and hit a ball around while she waited. Somewhere in that waiting, she fell for the game. By around eight she had put the badminton racket down for good.
Think about this, a sport with almost no crowd in India. No television deals. No money. And back then, no Olympics waiting at the end of the road. She picked it anyway, because she liked how it felt.
And she was frighteningly good, early.
At nine she won the Under-11 British Junior Open, the first Indian girl ever to do it. She kept flying to England and America and winning on courts where Indian names almost never made it onto the trophy.
Her father, a lawyer, simply started travelling with his two daughters, tournament after tournament. That was the whole support system.
No academy machine, no federation grooming her. A normal family following a kid who would not stop winning.
There is a picture that says a lot about her. At 14, she was the youngest athlete in India's entire squad at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, standing next to Joshna Chinappa, a teammate more than twenty years older than her.
Now, India has produced real squash greats. Saurav Ghosal climbed to world No. 10, the best this country ever had. Dipika Pallikal cracked the world top ten. Joshna Chinappa reached a junior world final all the way back in 2005.
But the sad part is that every one of them gave their career to a sport that could never send them to an Olympics.
Squash finally got voted into the Olympics, debuting at Los Angeles 2028. And a teenager from Delhi is now the best junior player on the planet. :)
To take that crown this week, she had to do something brutal. Egypt owns junior squash. Their players had held this girls' title for about 15 years without a break.
Their system makes world-beaters by the dozen. And the draw sent Anahat straight through three of them, one after another, in the quarterfinal, the semifinal, and the final.
She walked through all three. She dropped only two games in the whole tournament, gave up nothing in her first three matches, and beat Ruqayya Salem in straight games in the final.
Never rattled, in charge from the first point.
One year ago, at these same junior worlds, she won bronze. She was not happy with the colour. She came back twelve months later and changed it to gold.
No excuses, just a kid who saw exactly what was missing and closed the gap.
And the man coaching her through all of it is Saurav Ghosal.
Saurav Ghosal is someone who gave everything to Indian squash and never got an Olympics is now training the girl who will get one.
She is 18, already inside the world's top 20 as a senior, the youngest Asian woman ever to get there. She will be around 20 when the flame lights in Los Angeles.
This is not a lucky one-off. India had another junior go deep in the boys' draw the very same week. There is a line forming behind her.
Also, this was her last junior tournament by choice. She already lives on the senior tour with the best in the world. She won the junior worlds on her way out the door.
A girl from an ordinary Delhi home chose the sport nobody was cheering for, stayed with it when there was no glory waiting, and became world champion at the exact moment that sport earned its Olympic stage.
India waited a very long time for a squash world champion. She showed up right on time. :)

I again request the GoI. As these protests are resolved, India must:
- Ban social media for under 13
- Moderate social media for under 18
- Regulate social media companies
- Mandate a reporting tool under every post to GoI
- Setup a SM/M monitoring & response cell
- Study & research social media trends & Algo
- Take up propaganda on state media with countries
- Take up anti-Indian SM psyops with partners
- Monitor and control "finfluencers" farms
- Start units that can counter the infowar on India
And I hope India is using the current opportunity to study social media operations, organization, and algorithmic warfare of the adversaries on India.
To take the right corrective measures soon, understanding that adversaries and anti-india cabal have infiltrated SM companies with insiders.
So simple ad-hoc solutions like MPs, or even cyber armies, posting our narrative on Insta now is going to solve little, as algorithm will still suppress one side and amplify the other.

The internet was busy debating jantar Mantar & a quiet facility in India witnessed something straight out of science fiction. An engine fired up. But it did not hum & it did not roar like a normal jet.
It detonated. Continuous supersonic shockwaves raced around a circular chamber 1000s of times/sec, harnessing controlled explosions to generate thrust.
The startup D-Propulse just gave the world a sneak peek of their air-breathing Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE) with an integrated aerospike nozzle.
Every jet engine on a commercial airliner, every fighter jet & every rocket we have ever seen operates on deflagration. We mix fuel with air/oxygen, ignite it & it burns relatively slowly at subsonic speeds. It is effective, but humanity has pushed this tech to its absolute physical limits.
RDEs throw that century-old playbook into the fire. Instead of burning fuel smoothly, an RDE explodes it intentionally. A continuous detonation wave sweeps around an annular (ring-shaped) channel at supersonic speeds, reaching over 2000 m/s. This is called Pressure-Gain Combustion.
It extracts 15-25% more thermal efficiency out of the exact same amount of fuel. In the world of high-speed flight, a 25% jump in efficiency is a completely different league.
Why this Matters for India?
For decades, the narrative surrounding Indian engineering was tied to catching up on legacy systems, spending billions trying to replicate 1970s turbofan engine metallurgy/importing critical defense tech.
D-Propulse is proving that India does not need to play catch-up anymore.
By leapfrogging straight to Pressure-Gain Combustion, an Indian deep-tech startup, guided by veteran scientists & built by young engineers is standing on the frontlines alongside research labs in the US, Japan & China.
Imagine hypersonic cruise missiles, ultra-long-range combat drones & spaceplanes that do not need heavy, complex moving turbopumps to break speed records. That is the realm this technology unlocks.
The future does not belong to those who build better versions of old machines. It belongs to those who rewrite the physics of how machines work.
YoYa articulates why I have zero sympathy or support for street violence. Unemployable malcontents who can't win a municipal poll have wet dreams of seizing power via this route, without the inconvenience of convincing plebs to vote for them. That should remain a dream.

8 Years ago, we sent him a cold LinkedIn message.
He replied.
We met that very weekend.
Soon after, he became Skyroot’s first investor with a ₹10 crore cheque.
At the time, there was no space policy. No proof that we could build an orbital rocket. Immense technology risk. And every reason to say no.
Yet he looked beyond the uncertainty. He believed in our passion and saw possibility long before there was evidence.
But what stayed with me even more than the investment was the trust.
He gave us complete freedom to build, trusted us to make the right decisions, and was always there to mentor us whenever we needed him. More than capital, he helped shape our thinking with one piece of advice:
