Our county needs a working person who passes laws to improve life for families and retirees on fixed incomes. All work is honorable. Be the change you seek!
A massive "bomb cyclone" is set to explode off the U.S. West Coast with hurricane force winds, flooding rains, and enormous mountain snow from Category 5 atmospheric river.
Central pressure will fall almost 70 mb / 24 hours reaching 942 mb -- similar to Category 4 hurricane.
@dirquez The supermajority is a big opportunity for helping working families like ours, but the failure to pass the salary commission means that the rich will continue to represent us. 35,000 gross is a starvation wage with or without the per diem. #orpol
@Canning4Oregon When you’ve been running for president since 1980 it’s not going to end well. Neither major party is going to support working families in this age unfortunately.
Pride in place and commitment to community are antidotes to much of what ails us as a country. I’ve felt a loss as we’ve been turned into consumers of goods, culture, and politics instead of creators of it. We import cheap junk – whether it's headlight assemblies from China or politics from D.C. – and it breaks quickly, doesn’t do what’s promised, and leaves working people worse off.
I think that’s a problem, and I’m running for Congress to fix it. I’m running because I’m proud to co-own and operate an auto repair shop with my husband, and I want my son to have that pride, too. I’m running because we should have the right to repair our own stuff. I’m running because we need to cut burdensome regulations and invest in the trades so we can build more housing and strengthen the middle class. And I’m running to protect our rights from politicians who want to take them away from us.
Above all, I'm running for Congress to be an independent voice for all of Southwest Washington, not any one party, ideology, or special interest.
I'd be honored to earn your vote.
A reminder:
It was Jared Kushner and the Trump administration who gave @washingtonpost writer Jamal Khashoggi to the Saudis, dismembered with a bone saw and liquefied in sulfuric acid.
But in a contest between Harris and Trump, Jeff Bezos can't make an endorsement.
NEW: @OregonDOT says McKenzie Pass Hwy 242 is closed to biking/skiing/snowmobiling in the offseason. That’s a stunner for groups that have recreated there for generations. It’s sparked a lot of confusion & anger. I explain in detail: https://t.co/cKZUdr24uu
Moscow Telegram channels report that the sewage system in Moscow broke down.
A "fountain" the height of a residential building is seen in one of Moscow's districts.
A sh*t show, literally.
Feels important to note that the president of the union leading the port strike has a long-standing relationship with Trump and is causing major damage to a roaring economy five weeks before the election.
