Trying to transform clay into granite will always fail.
So instead of shaping individuals from clay…
Focus on molding those who are already solid, like granite.
Because you're working with the right material.
@SebAaltonen UASTC (basis) + Zstd can get you down to 2–3 bpp, though 2 bpp AVIF might still win on smooth gradients. ETC1S + Zstd gets smaller, but quality takes a hit on soft content. You can also transcode fast to your different formats, at cook or runtime.
Most people think the smartest founders win. They don’t. The fastest ones do. Speed of execution beats intelligence. Overthinking kills more startups than failure ever could. Knowledge isn’t the bottleneck. Action is.
@Cohn_Jarmack @ID_AA_Carmack@AlexStLouis10 Thanks for the feedback! We do have detection but there appears to be a bug in the reporting, as it should display a pop-up when using a non supported browser. It's also possible to have WebGL and pixel streaming fallbacks but we rushed to get this demo out just for this post.
@ID_AA_Carmack@DroidDroidson Unreal has many great streaming systems (memory/disk) already, what's missing is the ability to stream over the internet efficiently. My team is solving that with SimplyStream. Here's a small demo https://t.co/ylyAKDS1jz
Please let me know what you think!
@1BlownUpAccount@PicturesFoIder True but most of those jobs in many locations will pay a ton of overtime and living expenses, and in unions this can be 2x. I have friends who can make $3k+ a week doing a trade. The money's only worth it if you enjoy it though.
@iBrews@DhruvAtreja1 It also helps drastically to use lower latency codecs like AV1 and closer edge locations, this is a couple of the ways we keep latency low with SimplyStreams server side XR rendering.
@iBrews If you have any build settings that are different than the engine default, then it can recompile. A common setting is the header include style, if you have it set to an earlier version than your engine, then it may recompile.
