@StewartBentonMD @KAlaswadMD Because if you’re operating you might as well the bypass as it adds no additional risk to the patient - this is different to me than going in at a separate time with low risk/benefit - different scenario than a STEMI patient

@aribindi @Elate_Collected @LeivaOrly You avoid these problems by highly overseeing the Junior and immediately taking over when you sense there’s trouble - that’s the role of the senior/junior - it’s an important skill to gain - I’ve guided many people through their first lines and chest tubes

@akhalilMD @LeivaOrly I think we underestimate the value and skill a fellow attains while overseeing teaching and troubleshooting when a resident cant do it easily - that’s some of the times I’ve learned the most is through guiding someone else through the procedure and being the last line of defense
