In 1987, Mr Roger Brown retired from his post as Hampshire’s Planning Officer. For the next 9 yrs he built this vast 1:300 scale model of Winchester, as it was in 1870, based on the city’s first OS map. He died in 2015, leaving it to the city. Today,it’s on display in the Museum.
