@RutgersAltRoute A5 - Earlier I had not appreciated howassessment in the form of quizzes might contribute to behavior in the class. I was using mainly assignment-based assessment. Now I understand that quiz-type assessment can hold students accountable for their progress #teachered#growthmindset

I agree - definitely for me assessment is my next area for professional development. This will help students to become accountable for their learning and help them to engage in the lesson.
@RutgersAltRoute A5 - At the moment I am focusing on developing quiz-type assessments to help students acquire the French vocabulary. Using a series of short (weekly) assessments and a quiz tracker so students can track their progress, to encourage accountability. #teachered#growthmindset
@RutgersAltRoute A4 - Feedback needs to be constructive and directly related to the learning objective for that lesson, to encourage students to focus constantly on the learning objective for that lesson.

@RutgersAltRoute With mindset-conscious framing, I need to consider fine-tuning my messaging in such a way as to promote a growth mindset. This can include paying careful attention to how I frame questions. #teachered#growthmindset
@RutgersAltRoute A3: To promote a growth mindset, teachers can address climate, input, responsibility and feedback through what they intimate to students through their words, thoughts, and actions. If you see your students as ‘late bloomers’, your positive expectations c

@RutgersAltRoute A2 - In student learning and development, mindsets can make the difference between plateauing early (even high achievers who may fail to learn to deal with failure/not develop resistance) or not achieving one’s full potential. #teachered#growthmindset

@MsMalinowsky Sorry but I can't find the question. Also Twitter locked me out at precisely 10am when I was trying to figure out what to do and I've had to spend time reactivating my account.
