• Almost 500 Indian nationals travelled on Qatar Airways flights to Kochi and other global destinations today. Qatar Airways facilitated transportation of mortal remains of two Indians (natural deaths) and accompanying family members to Kochi on humanitarian grounds.
• Qatar airspace is only partially open and therefore limited flights are being operated by Qatar Airways. One flight to Mumbai is planned for operations by Qatar Airways on March 14.
• Indian nationals who wish to travel from India to Qatar can take Qatar Airways flights which come back from India to Qatar.
• Ambassador held another virtual meeting with Indian community organizations to brief them on efforts undertaken by the Embassy for the welfare of the community during the conflict situation. About 100 community members attended the briefing. Daily meetings have also been held with the apex Indian community organizations.
• Indian community expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Qatar for their efforts to ensure the well-being of all Qatar residents. The community reiterated that Qatar is their second home and they are both committed and resilient to face any situation in Qatar, in the spirit of friendship between India and Qatar.
• Any emergency cases of travel or otherwise can be brought to the attention of the Embassy on helpline numbers or to Indian community organizations, ICC and ICBF.
• Please note that Ministry of Interior has confirmed that the situation remains stable and services across vital sectors continue to operate normally. Competent Qatari authorities are closely monitoring all developments.
Update/Advisory, 1700 hrs, March 12, 2026
• About 700 Indian nationals left for India today on two Qatar Airways flights, one each to Delhi and Mumbai and to other destinations. One-two flights of Qatar Airways are expected for India daily in the coming days.
• Indian nationals wishing to travel out of Qatar continue to have the option of either taking the limited number of flights operated by Qatar Airways or exit through Salwa border to Saudi Arabia if a valid Saudi visa is available.
• We continue to facilitate temporary transit visas valid for 96 hours for Saudi Arabia for Indian nationals who were on visit visa to Qatar and wish to leave via Saudi Arabia. Registration in this regard can be done through the link available on our social media channels.
• The Embassy will be open on Friday-Saturday, March 13-14, to meet any needs especially in respect of renewal of passports on tatkal basis.
• Indian community is requested to follow the advisories issued by Qatar authorities that affirm the stability of markets across the State and the availability of all essential goods at retail outlets. Everyone is urged to act responsibly, avoid being misled by rumours or engaging in unnecessary stockpiling, and purchase only what is necessary to meet actual needs.
