Someone approved these structure from City Hall, designs were submitted, the local subcounty was involved.

BACK in October 2022, I extensively interacted with this developer. In fact I even wrote a letter to the Director General NEMA raising concerns about a development they were doing in Parklands on riparian encroachment, of course you know they did nothing.

And that was not their only project of concern; two other projects were, one on Rhapta road and the other on Riverside Drive. On the two latter projects, I raised concerns with NCA.

I know authorities are doing their investigations on the current project but allow me give them some pointers:

1. If you are just joining us, know that you are dealing with a developer with mature impunity and deep pockets - very deep pockets.

2. They have some of the top construction regulatory officials on their whims - firmly held.

3. It is standard for them to only use consultants and contractor for approval purpose only. They do things by themselves, their way, thereafter.

4. Don’t let those consultants and contractor off the hook on the basis they didn’t supervise. Usually they are aware their licenses are only required for approval and site board. The greed perpetually endanger the public.

There is more but let me stop there for now. Will say more once the authorities investigative report is out.
