@ItaiYanai@ItaiYanai Unfortunately, not all supervisors are willing to. Stories of PIs bullying, harassing and blocking students progress are no more stories of imagination-There has to be a PI grading that is transparent to any student prior to choosing a boss with whom they stick for yrs
Kudos to @RaniZananiri and @TatTvamAsi___ for their creativity, hard work, and perseverance, Vera Gaydar for the initial foundations, all the coauthors (Dan Yahalom, @OmriMalik, @nucleosomezky, @KleifeldO ) and of course to Arnon Henn for a great collaboration. 4/n
How do ATP molecules rapidly reach their catalytic sites in the ultrafast helicase RecBCD?
Our new publication, in collaboration with Arnon Henn’s and @KleifeldO, is now out in @NatureComms:
“Auxiliary ATP binding sites support DNA unwinding by RecBCD” 1/n

Happy to share the first performance test results on #StarGuide, and in Cooperation with Gilles LE ROUZIC from #CHR#orleans. It is a great honor to be part of the team at #gehealthcare changing the face of #nuclearmedicine towards 3D SPECT.

I know it's hard. You want to do something useful. It's an honest desire to help. But you can't help. Stop asking trainees to come to lab to work on your new brilliant idea of how to save humanity. Let the experts do their work. Stop 'pivoting' your research to COVID-19. Please.
@RoyKishony Great idea.. if taken forward it can yield faster results. Algorithmically, I am thinking of sample mixing and overlapping to pinpoint infected samples in less complexity of O(n). I am pretty sure CS solves such problems efficiently. Binary search, etc..
My gratitude to Soni, Chang-Ting, Ashlee and Aakash for their heroic efforts to write this review of DNA motor proteins with 500 plus (!) references.

Lesson: Never trust he who is good ON AVERAGE, esp. when he does not have his skin in the game; i.e. he is claimed to be good at things that don’t directly affect him once they fail. He wins if you win, but gets along unharmed if you are.
My first ever peer reviewed paper is out in @eLife.. Special thanks to my supervisor @akaplanz and my dearest lab members: @OmriMalik and @sergei_rudnizky
