@Metemsycosis@Ichbins8 Sub-Saharan Africa begs for the sort of LIDAR scans we see in Central America to detect long gone settlements. It’s my hope others think the same and we can find some equally impressive sites hidden by time.
@Metemsycosis@Ichbins8 There’s a lack of archeology in subsaharan Africa for a variety of reasons. Lack of funding is a big one, another is the difficulty in finding sites like the Great Zimbabwe. We know they built stone structures, just not lots of large impressive looking ones. - adding more here
