#UNDPinPakistan and @PIPS_GOV signed a partnership agreement to strengthen knowledge generation and support evidence-based policymaking across Pakistan’s national and provincial assemblies.

Signed by UNDP Resident Representative Dr. @SamuelRizk and PIPS Executive Director Muhammad Asim Goraya, the collaboration will support research dissemination, knowledge sharing, and capacity development for parliamentary committees and elected representatives, strengthening the foundations for more accountable, responsive, and effective democratic governance.

دونوں ممالک کا موسمیاتی بحران سے نمٹنے اور پائیدار ترقی کے لیے طویل المدتی شراکت داری پر اتفاق

🇵🇰 اور 🇬🇧 کے درمیان موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے لیے "گرین کمپیکٹ" پر دستخط

اس معاہدے کا مقصد پاکستان کو موسمیاتی آفات کی تیاری اور گرین انرجی کی جانب منتقلی میں مدد فراہم کرنا ہے۔

پاکستان کو موسمیاتی تحفظ اور گرین انرجی کے لیے 35 ملین پاؤنڈ (تقریباً 12 ارب روپے) دینے کا وعدہ

یہ خطیر رقم پاکستان کے موسمیاتی منصوبوں اور ماحولیاتی تحفظ کے اقدامات میں براہ راست سرمایہ کاری کرے گی۔

1.5 کروڑ پاؤنڈ سے "پاکستان کلائمیٹ فنانسنگ" فیسیلٹی قائم ہوگی

یہ فیسیلٹی سستی اور گرین بجلی کی پیداوار کو فروغ دے گی تاکہ کوئلے اور تیل پر انحصار کم کیا جا سکے

2 کروڑ پاؤنڈ مینگرووز کی حفاظت پر خرچ ہوں گے

اس فنڈ سے پاکستان کے ساحلی جنگلات کی بحالی اور تحفظ کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا جو ماحولیاتی توازن کے لیے اہم ہیں

مینگرووز ساحلی شہروں کی "پہلی دفاعی لائن" ثابت ہوگی

مینگرووز سمندری طوفانوں اور ساحلی کٹاؤ سے کراچی سمیت دیگر شہروں کو ڈوبنے سے بچانے میں کلیدی کردار ادا کریں گے

معاہدے کے تحت شمسی اور ہوا (Solar/Wind) سے بجلی بنانے کے جدید منصوبے لگیں گے

- گرین کمپیکٹ نجی سرمایہ کاری کو راغب کر کے قابل تجدید توانائی (Renewable Energy) کے میدان میں انقلاب لائے گا

- گرین کمپیکٹ کا فوکس "یوتھ اور انوویشن" پر ہے

- نوجوانوں کو ماحول دوست آئیڈیاز اور گرین سٹارٹ اپس کو ترقی دینے کے لیے پلیٹ فارم اور سپورٹ فراہم کی جائے گی

- برطانیہ کا کلائمیٹ چینج کمپیٹیشن کا اعلان

- اس مقابلے کا مقصد نوجوانوں کے تخلیقی اور ماحول دوست حل کو تلاش کرنا اور انہیں سرمایہ کاروں سے ملوانا ہے

- اب ہاتھ پر ہاتھ رکھ کر بیٹھنے کی قیمت، کچھ کرنے سے کہیں زیادہ ہوگی، برطانوی وزیر، (@FCDOGovUK)

موسمیاتی اقدامات اب اختیار کا نہیں، بقا کا تقاضا بن چکے ہیں۔ فطرت اپنے اصولوں کے مطابق چلتی ہے؛ اگر ہم اس کے ساتھ ناانصافی کریں تو فطرت متاثر نہیں ہوتی، لیکن اس ناانصافی کی پوری قیمت ہمیں چکانی پڑتی ہے۔

فاقی وزیر برائے موسمیاتی تبدیلی ڈاکٹر مصدق ملک نے کینیا کے دارالحکومت نیروبی میں منعقد ہونے والی اقوامِ متحدہ کی ماحولیاتی اسمبلی (UNEA-7) کے 7ویں اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔

اقوامِ متحدہ کے 193 رکن ممالک کے نمائندوں کے ساتھ سول سوسائٹی، سائنس دانوں، ترقیاتی اداروں اور نجی شعبے کے نمائندگان نے بھی (UNEA-7) اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔
