Time for some #PersonalNews:
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve officially joined @usatodaysports as a full-time NFL Trending Writer!
Thanks to everyone who made this possible and can’t wait to have some fun covering all the latest and greatest on the gridiron
BREAKING: Superstar outfielder Juan Soto and the New York Mets are in agreement on a 15-year, $765 million contract, sources tell ESPN. It is the largest deal in professional sports history.
An epic sports day Monday in New York:
⚾️Mets at Dodgers or Padres in Game 2 of the NLCS, 4:08 ET
⚾️Yankees host Game 1 of the ALCS, 7:37 ET
🏈Jets host Bills on MNF for first place in the AFC East, 8:15 ET.
Phillies: “We are built for this. This is our moment. Enough talk. We’re ready for war! We are prepared to commit all the crimes and inflict pain on our enemies during this #RedOctober.”
Mets: “Lol here’s Grimace holding the playoff pumpkin dancing to OMG. #LGM”
I’m just a bit too young to remember the Dodgers and Giants leaving New York, but watching today’s finale in Oakland really leaves you numb. Watching adults and kids in tears accentuates a 57 yr bond. I realize it’s a complicated issue, but they deserved so, so much better.
Five quarters into the Jets season…
Defense ➡️ Stinks
Penalties ➡️ Still a problem
Offense ➡️ Boring
Hackett ➡️ Calling plays like Zach Wilson is still the QB
Saleh ➡️ Still bad
Only 63 more quarters to go!
Every year around 9/11, I watch "The Man in the Red Bandana."
It's a tribute to former Boston College lacrosse player Welles Crowther, who died after saving nearly 20 lives that day.
Political debates don't matter in the grand scheme of things. Heroes like Welles do. ❤️🇺🇸
