@MichaelBou7302 Cool, sorry was just trying to understand the rule and if the defender being out of bounds when he (in my view) dislodges the ball matters
Probably not, no one is talking about it so assuming it doesn’t make a difference
Also games over and I don’t hate the cool, just curious👍
It looks like a no catch from that angle
BUT the defender dislodges the ball, which Puka had control of, rather than Puka dropping it.
The defenders foot also lands out of bounds when he does that
So does the defender being out of bounds matter?
@sam_badawi@NFLFrascella It certinaly looks like a no catch from that angle
In my view the defender dislodges the ball…
But also isn’t the defenders foot out of bounds when he does that?
Or as it’s a bang bang play that doesn’t matter?
Genuine question 🤷♂️

@NFLFrascella On first view I thought easy no catch as he loses control
BUT does the defenders foot hit out of bounds before he jars the ball loose?
If so that’s gotta stand as a catch right?
@DistressedPickL I thought exactly the same thing, but apparently a defender CAN re-establish to jump on a fumble, provided they don’t intentionally go out of bounds….
Was a google search so unfortunately I don’t have the rule number.
