@SBF_FTX The hilarious part of all this is your Trump cock sucking pivot is happening right before he badly loses midterms and gets impeached. Your sniveling will be in vain lol
@based16z I mean we did shoot the kneecaps out of Bitcoin in 2017. It was kinda obvious this was going to happen. Some even say the sabotage of BTC was intentional so it wouldn’t compete with dollar hegemony (me..I’m some).
@koreanjewcrypto Stuff like how the establishment hijacked bitcoin during the bitcoin civil war and neutered it so that it wouldn’t threaten entrenched Powers? Stuff like that?
@mark_dow@carlquintanilla After development was co-opted by @adam3us and @Blockstream with Epstein funding, Bitcoin essentially became just a memecoin. Their forced pivot to state friendly “digital gold” was to protect power structures from its capacity as P2P cash. Most bitcoiners too stupid to see it
@jungleincxrp This is what we on the big blocker side (I prefer the name ‘reasonable’ blocker) have been trying to explain for 10+ yrs. We saw it being hijacked in real time. Now it’s finally coming to light. There a book with the full story for those interested: @HijackingBTC
@adam3us The truth about you & Blockstream is finally coming out. The establishment paid you to take over development & push BTC towards a path that protected entrenched power structures. This lead to the BTC civil war & the pivot away from P2P cash towards state friendly “digital gold.”
@JackNiewold The first wrong turn was made in 2017 when, at the literal & metaphorical fork in the rd, we heeded the influence of legacy finance & made a left turn off the P2P cash path (which threatened the establishment) and onto digital gold. The ethos then shifted to NGU and led us astray
@dgt10011 People are starting to see the digital gold narrative is bullshit. Without the ability to be P2P cash that competes with the dollar, it’s just a glorified memecoin.
@sircryptotips Current state of crypto is 100% rooted in the outcome of the scaling wars. Corp & gov interests usurped development & pushed a culture change away from replacing the dollar/banks to coexisting w them simply as an impotent savings vehicle. Crypto’s subversive qualities were tamed.
@0xNairolf Yeah, that was kinda the whole fucking point before Bitcoin got hijacked into the whole digital gold BS. We wasted almost a decade focusing on NGU
@Credib1eGuy Because digital gold was always a stupid fucking narrative. Bitcoin was revolutionary as P2P cash that replaced fiat money, not as an impotent saving vehicle. Once the establishment took over development and pivoted away from its intended use, this was the obvious conclusion.
@tommycarver@EleanorTerrett@intangiblecoins@coinbase Bitcoin is captured garbage. We wouldn’t even have stablecoins if it wasn’t for bitcoiners allowing it to be hijacked away from being p2p cash in 2017. Now it’s just an impotent saving vehicle that no longer threatens the banks, state, or dollar. Congrats, you played yourself.
@IncomeSharks@AaronRDay Their first victory was in 2017 when they successfully convinced the space that Bitcoin was merely a savings vehicle rather than a competitor to the dollar. Now we celebrate centralized, seizable fiat tokens (stablecoins) aka the thing crypto was built to destroy.
