@Tai4Mvp His 2 best seasons w/NOP were mirror images. 38% on 6+ attempts. He was MIP, an All Star and was probably snubbed the other season. His attempts have down since. Puzzling.
The real reason behind Wisconsin's referee shortage? Unruly spectators says Matt Atkinson a Wisconsin referee. Who says the state retains 2 of every 10 officials over a 10 year span.

Once B24 passes to B5, & C receives play, T looks away to “find work”, ID’s B24’s screen trigger, & stays w/ off-ball action. B24’s illegal screen occurs in L’s PCA, but L is watching ball. Fortunately, T stays engaged & makes call. Eye Discipline is key to Off-Ball Officiating.
More high schools should teach the fundamentals to officiating!
A. Helps them learn the basic rules of sports
B. Teaches understanding of the officiating aspect
C. Promotes youth involvement in officiating
Overall a big win-win for all!
Sportsmanship is not a checklist item. It must be addressed daily & at the forefront of every convo. Start this culture at the middle school level.

@CoachEmUp716@RefereeMag “Referees are not God” is the perfect standard. They’re human. It’s applicable to coaches. Teach it to your players. Let’s say it together. “We’re all human.” #CoachEmUp
It's week 3 of #NBRASummerSchool, and we're diving into verticality plays at the basket.
In all guarding situations, a player is entitled to any spot on the court he desires, provided he legally gets to that spot first and without contact with an opponent. A player is entitled to a vertical position even to the extent of jumping straight up or holding his arms above his shoulders.
@on_moonn@OfficialChipC The ball is live here too, so a technical foul isn’t the appropriate remedy on the initial act by B1. That play was ruled an offensive foul. But the two players coming face-to-face to taunt each other is an easy double technical.
@bballbreakdown Many officials carry an extra whistle, so it seems Foster is trying to attach his “spare” after losing his original. Schroder apparently recovered Foster’s original whistle and tossed it to him.
Being a high school official is fun AND fulfilling!
I love getting in the game AND ensuring students can always play the high school sports they love.
For me, it doesn’t get much better than that!
