A huge win to start the new year: @Clearbriefai was named Favorite Legal Tech Product of 2023 by the California Appellate Law Podcast! (We are *not* sponsors of this podcast by the way!)

Most inspiring: the discussion by @NotTimKowal and @JeffLewisLaw about how our AI tools like the Verified Facts Section are opening up their schedules to take on work that is meaningful to them.

"I'll to start with with my favorite tech of 2023 . . .Clearbrief. . .I have taken to not only using it but has become a cornerstone in my in my cases.

When I have my paralegal first input the cases into our system. . .the next step is to put all of the case documents into Clearbrief so I can . . .start to generate motions, and I can instantly have all of the facts or the cases at my fingertips based on the Clearbrief AI generated research tools.

...[I]t's just a fantastic product and then it just impresses the socks off of people when you produce the memos out of Clearbrief that are fully hyperlinked to the cases in your case file and not to mention legal authority. . .

"And . . .you were telling me about a new feature for Clearbrief in terms of summarizing key facts for an appellate brief.

It's an amazing function that it has. So let's say you started a case, you've dumped into it all of the case file, all of the evidence for the case.

And now you want to see a chronology of facts - you can just click a button, you can have Clearbrief take your entire case file and generate a chart of all of the facts that have come up in the case.

. . .You can click the button to create a Verified Facts Section of your brief, and it will take that chart and then turn it into a narrative as if a junior associate had written up a narrative summary of facts. . . and procedural history for your case, fully hyperlinked to all of the documents that you have in your case file. And it's complete with signals that talk about, well, you know, two days later, this happened and then after that, this happens, so it gives you a sense of flow for the brief. . . .

You can jump right into the issues of the case and start planning out the strategy rather than having to spend hours and hours trying to figure out what the facts are and where they are, Clearbrief really accelerates that process. So that's become an indispensable part of my tech stack. . .

And part of the vision for my own practice is to be able to take on, you know, a significant cases like Carl Sassiri, and maybe do public interest work like Chris Shandevel, with these tech, you know, AI-based tools, it brings me so much closer to being able to do that without a big staff. . .I could still take on paid clients and to be able to fund my work to do other things that I find interesting and significant.

[Like] when PDF filing came along, it really was a great equalizer between big firms and solos. And this, it's going to a similar if not bigger effect in terms of bringing parity for the ability of a small firms to take on big firms." #legaltech #ai #appellatetwitter #lawtwitter

We just got word that @Clearbriefai helped @SimonLawGroup - one of the top trial firms in the country - win a $14.8M verdict using our AI tools in Word! 🥂

As a founder, it means so much to me to hear this testimonial from @planetfunbob Robert Simon, who is on the cutting edge of exploring how personal injury and trial litigators can use technology to win. His firm's tech stack gives them a huge advantage.

"Clearbrief helped us not only win a trial of a recent verdict for 14.8 million, but allowed us to screen it because we came in one week before trial--one week before trial--on a product liability theory case. Over 20 depositions, thousands of pages of records, and we dropped it into Clearbrief AI, we're able to quickly delineate & hyperlink quick facts, deposition summaries, all these things that let us know, one can we win this case? Can we meet our burden of proof?

Is that a case we would like to invest and go up and try? So we liked what we saw; we used the AI and we jumped in the trial. After four weeks our trial lawyer Jason Sanchez along with Tom Appell, who referred the case to us...
We got the big verdict and want to thank Clearbrief for an effective use case of AI."
