Representative for the 14th Middlesex District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Representing Carlisle and parts of Acton, Chelmsford, and Concord.
Thanks to @RepSimonCataldo and the Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism for their thoughtful work and recommendations to understand and combat the alarming rise in antisemitic incidents that have taken place in Massachusetts, consistent with a concerning national trend.
There is no place for antisemitism in America — in our government, our schools, and our communities.
I’m grateful for the work of the Massachusetts Antisemitism Commission, as we combat hate and bigotry in every form.

The Massachusetts Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism condemned federal attacks on universities over antisemitism allegations, repeatedly praising Harvard for its anti-discrimination policies.

So proud to be from @TownofConcordMA right now! #RightToRead Thank you @RepSimonCataldo for your work for all children. For literacy. For education. For civil rights. For freedom.
California's AB 1454, a landmark early literacy bill, achieved unanimous legislative support and is now state law. What about us, Massachusetts? Only 4 in 10 of our 3rd graders read on grade level. We must pass comprehensive literacy laws NOW. Thank you to our bold leaders @SenDiDomenico@RepSimonCataldo and @RepDanSenaMA for championing this bill!
Mrs M was Teacher of the Year, then the school switched to structured literacy, upending her practice. But she went along with it for the greater good. Result: she was teacher of the year again. The whole school is improving. Got emotional when explaining, "How could you not..."
In Seaford, DE, everybody is a reading teacher. Visited last year and saw PE teachers starting with a reading activity. Profiled on ExtraOrdinary Districts, it's was easy to see why.
Antisemitism is on the rise — across the country and here in the Commonwealth.
We have a responsibility to root out this hatred and protect our communities.
I’m grateful to the Massachusetts Antisemitism Commission for taking urgent action. Their findings will strengthen our efforts to combat antisemitism in schools and help us build a safer future for our children.
As a founding member of the @MassReads Coalition, I am grateful to the @BostonGlobe for supporting the argument we’ve been making all along, and endorsing the “Right to Read” Literacy bill. I’m very grateful to our sponsors @RepSimonCataldo, @RepDanSenaMA & @SalDiDomenico
Co-Chair @RepSimonCataldo opened the meeting with a powerful reflection on recent antisemitic incidents in his district. He emphasized the urgency of this work and the widespread desire among educators to do the right thing — if only they had all of the tools.

“Please, my fellow Americans, look around the world and thank your lucky stars. Every day I wake up and I kiss the ground, because I don’t take it for granted. Because my life is so much better than my parents were in India.”
—Yale Law professor Akhil Reed Amar
It is my honor to serve on the MA Special Commission on Combatting #Antisemitism, led by chairs @RepSimonCataldo & @SenJohnVelis
Grateful to them for their moral clarity and strategic vision.
I have a 5, 3, and 2 year old. Mark Zuckerberg’s new vision is for Meta's AI chatbots to become friends for kids. I don't want my children to have AI friends. I want my children to have real friends.

💔 Our hearts are broken.
Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky — two young Israeli embassy staffers and cherished members of the AJC community — were murdered while leaving an AJC event in Washington, D.C., last night.
They were stolen from us. They had their entire lives ahead of them.
Sarah, an American from Overland Park, Kansas, was warm and compassionate, committed to peacebuilding, and passionate about sustainability and people-to-people relations.
Yaron always had a smile on his face and a welcoming presence. He had reportedly bought a ring and was planning to ask Sarah to marry him in Jerusalem next week.
Words cannot adequately express our sorrow. We mourn with Sarah and Yaron’s families, their friends, and all who loved them.
May their memories be a blessing.
