Great advice worth practicing. A simple drill: open up some videos and have people practice giving clear, concise size-ups and reports. You’ll be surprised how much people will learn just about operating their radio!
@romduck This is the kind of information that more #firefighters need. Not just “don’t spray water on CNG tanks.” There’s more to know about alcohol-fuel blends, liquified (cryogenic) natural gas that has no added odorant, “invisible” hydrogen fuel, and more. Great article!
@Kiel_Samsing But I’m absolutely not going anywhere if the pay is adequate and the culture is supreme. We have it pretty good right now, and it will likely stay that way. You can’t out-compensate bad leadership
It is easy to focus on our minor (and major) struggles throughout the day. You don’t have to ignore them, but you should begin by reminding yourself that something makes today beautiful.
