@David_J_Bier Interesting article. People in similar situations are in a tough spot. If the government would have upheld their bargain 86, Stopping illegal immigration, these situations would be easy. Legal immigration should be easier. Illegal immigration should be impossible.

@veroderugy Since we have given illegal immigration social benefits, I would also note Friedman‘s take that you can’t have open immigration and left welfare policies. Much of the panic is caused by the above, and I wish I could hear the practical Friedman on this.
