LAPD Mounted Unit officers on patrol came across a woman who was pale and unconscious. Through their training and experience they quickly identified she had overdosed on drugs and administered NARCAN.

Minutes later she was responsive and alert.

While on patrol around the Slauson Recreation Center and Pueblos Housing Development, the Mounted Unit’s (Charlie) met one of its smallest supporters who wanted to say hello. Bringing a smile to this little girl’s face is community engagement at it’s finest!

Our hearts are broken for the family and friends of @Chicago_Police Officer Ella French who was shot and killed in the line of duty last night. She leaves behind a two month old baby.

Her partner who was also shot is in critical condition. We pray for a full recovery for him.
