@wheellock@RockChartrand Communism is inherently impossible due to the fact that sooner or later some form of state would form, same with classes, the closest one could theoretically get is a democratic society where the workers run it, which still isn't very reliable long term.
@MDH_UAR@LadyLaurk Fair enough, I appreciatethe consistency within your views. I just believe that there is more proof towards Jesus as a person than against. This debate is going nowhere, so thank you for being respectful.
I just got one more question though, who do you believe made him up?
@MDH_UAR@LadyLaurk Also, do you deny that Homer existed? Because if you don't then you're a hypocrite considering there is even less proof towards him existing than Jesus existing.
@MDH_UAR@LadyLaurk Serapion did not mention him specifically by name, sure, but he did bring up a wise king who was wrongfully killed by the Jews, who can be assumed to be Jesus given the time period and the similarities between the two.
@MDH_UAR@LadyLaurk Even assuming Josephus's reference towards Jesus was completely fabricated, which isn't the historical census, there are still other places that reference Jesus, such as Mara Bar-Serapion, Tacitus, and Pliny the Younger.
@MDH_UAR@LadyLaurk Then why do most historians agree he existed? The existence of a Jewish preacher named Jesus who came from Nazareth is not really up for debate. Josephus, who was a Jewish historian talks about Jesus. We also know for a fact Paul existed and that he met Peter.
@MDH_UAR@LadyLaurk This is factually wrong, we know for almost a fact that Jesus existed, effectively every reliable historian would agree, the question isn't whether he existed but whether or not he is God, and I believe he is.
@XiJinPing_NMSL1 How so? If someone were to die to save someone else, that death would both be unfortunate and a necessary sacrifice, you can have a death that is both.
@ChiefMiso@GigaBasedDad This is false, the Church brought tons of advancements in technology, biology, medicine, astrology, geography, and philosophy.
You can disagree with Christianity all you want, but saying something so demonstrably false does nothing but make you seem unreliable.
@XiJinPing_NMSL1 Here is that full quote, "I think it's worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights." People feel the same way about car deaths, he was equating the two of them.
@XiJinPing_NMSL1@Internet_TLCM That quote is taken heavily out of context, my friend. He was comparing gun deaths to car deaths, saying if one is considered worth it then the other is as well. He never said that people should die or deserve to die, just that the good outweighs the bad.
@KubbySlash@A_Tired_Artist1@alldessik@LucifersTweetz Oh I actually don't think being trans is inherently bad, I do think it is bad to push such things onto children however, in my opinion if a child truly believes they are the opposite gender, then they will still believe this when they are an adult.
