@LugerLab Funny, just returned my review for that same paper! I requested the authors to reduce the paper to one and a haf page. Not sure that I can recommend the revised version for publication anyway...
@RogerPielkeJr I reviewed about half of all papers submitted globally for peer-review. I must say all of it was horrible. Did not find a single paper that I could recommend for publication. 2020 was a bad year for science!
Great applaus for @SpringerNature! Finally, they recognize my great work and realize that scientists are willing to pay for my fantastic referee reports. Finally! Thanks! I will charge €1000 for my next report. @springernature! https://t.co/TwLXErlvyB
@DebbyHerbenick @Marcel_Swart@AcademicChatter@3_reviewer@reviewer3 I would never trash your crappy manuscript in that way. All my arguments are valid. I still do pity the poor reviewer #1 who had to drag himself through your terrible manuscript.
Am sure many will agree with the opinion here - there is no reason to be mean when reviewing others' work. Be constructive, courteous, and reasonable to our fellow scientists, and promote a more positive academic culture.
Don’t be a prig in peer review https://t.co/J95NuMZxoO
@christo71213435 @DirkScheffers @ceptional This is highly offensive! I spend a lot of time carefully reading and trashing horrible manuscripts submitted by wannabe researchers like you. I bet you never spend more than 45 minutes on writing one of these manuscripts. I take my job as a peer-reviewer VERY seriously!
