@SouthamptonFC Has to be a sporting sanction- it would be surprising if it was just the three instances, so likely systematic. Teams get booted from competitions for ineligible players - the potential stakes of promotion shouldn't be a factor. Whether Vertu Trophy, or Playoffs.
@BBCSportScot Disastrous for the league. Hearts have been brilliant, Celtic were an utter shambles for half the season, and it still wasn't enough. They'll win in their slippers next season.
@chris_sutton73 Pretty disastrous for the league... Hearts were brilliant, Celtic an utter mess- and still won it. If Celtic are even average they will win it comfortably next season.
@TWFootball1867 I didn't say he was, and not making excuses. I think it's a risk keeping him, just for the mindset of the players. But it's probably been one of the hardest seasons a manager at this level will have ever had. His main task has to keep things broadly together, not win points.
@TWFootball1867 In a one off game, absolutely. But for me, it's almost psychological, to keep going to the well when it's empty and, in terms of the end result, ultimately futile. We have probably underperformed in terms of points, but I get it. It's not the same as 46 cup matches.
@jonawils Prob my favourite (if that's the right word!) so far. Think history is a lot kinder to Taylor than at the time. Made mistakes but this gets across how much was against him and the state of things in English football at the time. Really good.
@swfc Incredibly proud of them. The results are pretty much irrelevant right now, each and every one of them have been a credit to themselves, their teammates, and the club. They deserved to win that - but I hope their efforts won't be forgotten.
@t_peters32 That's my thinking too... was a brilliant moment, and huge credit to all the players for today's performance. But I fully expect that to be a high point, especially as sides get up to speed and injuries and suspensions hit us.
@TWFootball1867 Really proud of them. Absolutely no shade on those who left - who can blame them? - but nothing but love and support for those who stayed. Especially Bannan for re-signing. Just hope it's 0-0 after 5 when the fans come in (and I support the protest too).
