AT LAST!

The barriers that failed the equalities act have been removed.

It may have taken 370 days. It may just be a barrier.

But it makes a BIG difference.

Cargo bikes, mobility scooters, hand cycles, pushchairs can now all easily get through.

Two months since @PeterboroughCC responded to our FOI confirming they were in breach of the Equalities Act and the barrier was going to be removed.

But it’s still there.

@PboroCycling I agree. In many locations the barriers serve no real safety purpose and are set so close to each other as to be a real impediment to cyclists. @peterboroughcc needs to address this issue and start removing unnecessary barriers

Support our friends at @ElyCycle by objecting to this developer's proposal to remove a planning obligation to provide a new cycleway along Lynn Road into Ely city centre. It's a much-needed new route in @EastCambs.
