@pvbsc1 No-one would live in these circumstances out of choice. How have we failed to produce suitable alternatives through ‘States Housing’? This legislation will remove a ‘slum’ sector (at a cost) but it will do nothing to provide affordable accommodation where it’s clearly needed.

There’s scope to fine tune everything, but it all comes at a cost and, with an ever growing fiscal black hole, I don’t think now’s the time to be expanding inessential services. Better to concentrate resources on the Police Forces’ core values to improve public perception.
