For 55 years, a tree from America’s public lands has traveled to D.C. as a gift from the people.
This year’s #CapitolChristmasTree2025 began its journey from Nevada’s Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. We’re proud to help bring it home.

Today, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office joined the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, and our law enforcement partners at a press conference to kick off the Joining Forces initiatives during this year's Street Vibrations Rally.
As part of this statewide effort, deputies will be out with highly visible patrols focusing on motorcycle safety. With thousands of riders in our region, we're asking everyone to do their part to keep our roads safe and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office shares these safety reminders:
Riders:
* Wear proper gear, helmets are required in Nevada.
* Lane splitting is illegal and unsafe.
* Stay visible to those driving around you.
* Stay alert and always ride sober.
Drivers:
* Look twice before changing lanes.
* Give motorcycles extra space.
* Avoid distractions.
Together, we can make Street Vibrations safe and enjoyable for all.
