I just spoke with someone with direct knowledge of these developments. It has been leaked to him/her that the Canadian government has already "mobilized" something of a task force to descent on the farm and kill the ostriches at Universal Ostrich Farms within the week (specific timeline not disclosed).

Apparently an unknown but substantial number of authorities are in the process of, or will imminently be descending on the farm to slaughter the ostriches.

I am told that anyone who attempts to intervene will likely be arrested.

I am also told that the farm is attempting to instal cameras to live stream the events as they unfold, but I suspect the authorities will attempt to disable cameras / interfere with any live streaming.
