🇮🇳 PM @narendramodi’s advisory amid the West Asia crisis is a wake-up call India cannot afford to ignore.
India imports 87% of its crude - and the West Asia crisis is the perfect moment to turn this challenge into our greatest opportunity. The answer isn’t panic - it’s accelerated transformation.
🚇 Metros & Public transport must become the default, not the exception
⚡ EV adoption : 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, buses, trucks - must move to mission mode NOW
🚂 Railways for freight movement across the country
🚗 Carpooling wherever private vehicles are unavoidable
🏔️ Domestic tourism over overseas vacations - India’s breathtaking diversity is unmatched. Every trip within India saves forex & strengthens the economy.
India has done transformational change at scale before: Jan Dhan, UPI, Solar, COVID vaccination. We went from Euro IV to Euro VI bypassing Euro V. India moves fast when it decides to.
The West Asia crisis must be the inflection point for 100% electrification of 2 & 3-wheelers by 2028 and full electrification of public bus fleets.
Every metro ride, every EV on the road, every carpool - is India’s answer to geopolitical crisis.
The future is electric. The time is NOW.

The results of the recent state elections have been dramatic by any measure.
But for me, this image will remain the most unforgettable outcome of the elections.
More than 166,000 votes were cast between the two leading candidates in this constituency in Tamil Nadu.
And history was changed by just one vote.
This image should be shown in every school in the country & perhaps around the world.
So that every child understands that when they grow up, the greatest power they may possess is the Power of One.
The power of their one vote.
@jasveer10@Shrabonti@jopriyu267@jasveer10 You yourself are conflicting with your own comments and don't have one clear stand. It changes with each course of comments.. Here you say this. In another you said - 'then what was the point of her not changing her surname?' 🤷🏼♀️
Hatred Percolates.
It’s an emotion.
Once generated, it doesn’t stop at the targeted race, religion, caste.
It reaches within your own race, religion, caste.
Eventually it burns down your home.
Emotions turn into nature.
Hate mongers better realise this phenomenon.

Why this nuisance just doesn't come to an end?
We are thankful to BMC for clearing the area but unfortunately you hv removed even the heart of any residential area, the veg/ fruit vendors.
Why waiting for a complaint for taking action on these?
Record warm March month in Norway 🇳🇴. A strong climate warning!
One dangerous effect of wars in Iran and other places is that they distract our attention from long term developments of great threat to humanity.
The average temperature in Norway this March was record high. It’s 3, 9 degrees over the normal climate in our era. Its the highest temperature ever measured in March and the increase from the previous peak in 2012 is also record big.
This is a very strong reminder of why we must focus on combatting global warming!

In Kerala, apparently you can now call a coconut harvester the same way you book a cab.
A uniformed professional arrives on a cycle, equipped, trained, and ready to work.
We often speak about India’s services economy in terms of IT exports or global capability centres.
But we’re digitising even our most traditional, hyper-local services.
There was another detail from this video that stayed with me.
The young man who climbed those trees was from Chhattisgarh.
When I began my career in our Group’s steel business, many of of our associates working in our furnace and foundry shops had come from states like Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, travelling far from home in search of opportunity.
Today, it seems those same aspirations are finding avenues not just in heavy industry, as in the past, but in new-age, tech-enabled services.
People moving, adapting and rising are a powerful economic force.
And also a force for integration.
As long as they’re welcomed by the host states!
@chaitanyajoshi@AshwiniBhide@AshwiniBhide Hope you are reading all the comments and with that the expectation from the first female BMC Commissioner & the Metro lady that we know.
Bravo - Indias 🇮🇳 largest solar plant in farmland.
In Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, they have created magic! Indias largest solar plant in agricultural land - agri-voltaic.
The plant is generating electricity as well as producing sixteen types of fruits and vegetables. Double income for the farmer - from energy and agriculture. Renewable energy as well as organic produce.
The panels are set up 4 meters above the ground to provide ample sun light.
The biggest challenge for solar is land. In heavily populated areas, say UP or Bihar in India, or France and Germany in Europe, nearly all land is used for agriculture. There are people everywhere. Agri-voltaic is an important solution!

@mybmc Dear My BMC team, I'm sure the team understands the dynamics of 'X'. A full report as a tweet just makes it inconvenient to read, driving out the very purpose of sharing it publicly. Instead a link can be posted with a short summary where the full report can be accessed :)
