Today, Pioneer Labs is announcing our first step towards terraforming Mars. 🚀🌼
With equipment that fits in just a single rocket launch, we can convert Martian dirt, water, and air into enough building materials to construct a small city on Mars.
To do it, we made the first microbe for Mars. We found the best microbe on Earth and used evolution to teach it how to source all of its nutrients directly from Martian materials.
The first astronauts will be greeted with safe shelter already filled with water, oxygen, and rocket fuel for the return journey.
This is the first step toward using biology to make Mars a friendly place for life. It lets us live off the land and helps us build the next great frontier.
It's the first of five organisms we need to green Mars ⬇️
We’re in orbit! And just made European history: This is the first time a privately developed rocket reached orbit from continental Europe; and a testament to the dedication, expertise, and teamwork of everyone involved.
We made history. On just our second flight, we became the first commercial space company from Europe to deliver satellites into orbit. Mission 'Onward and Upward' successfully lifted off and deployed payloads into orbit. A new chapter for European spaceflight. More: https://t.co/EQ8NvB6lEo
This morning’s @SpaceX mission from pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida (and it launched on the fleet leading booster!!), marking the end of an era for these launches on the East Coast. From here on, Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship. The West Coast team will continue regularly launching Starlink from Vandenberg.
Super proud of this incredible team. You’ve made Falcon 9 the most reliable launch vehicle in history. You also helped build the largest low-Earth orbit satellite constellation providing connectivity to millions around the world, and you’ve set the foundation for what’s next.
In the last seven years, Falcon has flown ~260 Starlink missions from the Cape… can’t wait until we launch that and many more with Starship!
Your live view from the Moon: coming up!
Lunar Express's architecture will deliver multiple simultaneous 4K video links — from the lunar surface and orbit all the way to Earth — with the capacity to scale further. For the first time ever, humanity will witness a Moon Base being built live, brick by Moon-brick, in 4K high-definition.

The SpaceX Recovery team is still working to recover Flight 13’s Starship from the Indian Ocean. They’ve been overcoming challenging conditions and increasingly rough seas as they attempt to guide the 52m long spacecraft to port
During their lunar flyby, the Artemis II crew enjoyed the rare opportunity to experience a solar eclipse from their Orion spacecraft.
With the Sun hidden behind the Moon, the astronauts were able to analyze the Sun’s outermost atmosphere, also known as the solar corona.
If a migrant comes to our country and attempts to saw a man's head off in the street, a Restore Britain Government will not deport.
With the British people's approval, that savage will be put to death.
But that is not enough - these atrocities will keep happening. The barbarians are already inside the gates.
Immigration will end from countries that are proven to supply us with these monsters.
Third world migrants who hate our way of life will be removed from our country. Restore Britain will deport millions.
I have had enough. The British people have had enough.
We do not have to live like this - there is another way.
Death penalty, mass deportations, end mass immigration.
That is what Restore Britain will do.
A timelapse view from our @SpaceX Dragon of the spectacular southern aurora seen in yesterday’s post, a result of a recent solar event. As opposed to the previous aurora I’ve seen, this one danced and snaked its way directly below us, putting on quite a show. I am in awe of this ethereal and emotionally evocative phenomenon.
In his final moments, Henry Nowak told police officers nine times “I can’t breathe” and four times that he had been stabbed.
In response police officer dragged him across the gravel, handcuffed and read him his rights.
It was the last thing Henry heard before he died.
@marianopberna @SigmaTechRBLX@OfAthenry Hypergolic fuels simplify this significantly, but I think were only used for ICBMs. Toxicity is the issue for widespread use. Solid fuel is even simpler and cheaper and avoids operational complications. The efficiency gains are obviously not worth the risks.

@aheartforgod@DSDOConnor "Men will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken." (Luke 21:26)
@James41890275@gv23@SciGuySpace That is intentional. They get close to orbital speeds (demonstrating they could get into orbit), but keep the trajectory suborbital so that they reenter safely in case something goes wrong with a deorbit burn. This is to prevent a situation similar to what happened to BO on NG-3.
