@alexdowsett Maybe as fans we should turn up and block the road during a race in protest against the @UCI_cycling for the s**tshow they are running. UCI Worried about environment, but happy to have a million vehicle convoy, helicopters and excessive transfers between stages 🤔🙄
@BriSmithy How can it be littering if it’s a fan picking it up? UCI worried about the environment, yet have a millions vehicle convoy follow the race and helicopters. Have teams flying and driving around excessive distance between stages on bigger tours. 🤔
But let’s stop the bottle throw🙄
@goethe_norris@Edinburgh_CC I do laugh when everyone responds there is a lack of bins like that’s the golden nugget solution. How about a change of mindset? How about take your own rubbish you brought with you back home? Have park patrol that can fine £1000 if seen leaving your rubbish? Problem solved 👋
@Fyrishsunset@edinburghpaper The Nats will be out of power when we get Indy. The other parties will have to reform from the shackles of Westminster. A lot of Scots would go back to Labour.
@AdamBlythe89 1. Remove the UCI from making rules and inspiring innovation in the sport.
😳
2. Riders wear the number for their World Ranking Points position. That way you can see when breakaways happen how good the riders are on ranking and form
3. Wider finishing area for sprint finishes.
@Edinburgh_CC@EdibleEdin A good start would be be compulsory order on Daltons at Salamander and have it turned into an allotments. Any other businesses hazardous to health moved out of the city and the buildings flattened for green space? But that would mean leadership from the council. So not likely?
@edinburghpaper@AlastairDalton Is the most iconic rail bridge in the world not enough like? Or is this just a plan to connect onto the tram so people use it??? 😬
@LochfyneLangous@TrudeauMaggie@NFF_fishmongers@jonnorris12@WardsFish Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Scottish Fishing sector tell us this would happen Scotland voted Indy. Yet voting Brexit was what they needed to protect their industry?? 😳 maybe the fishing sector needs to swallow the actions they asked for 👍
@edinburghpaper Look how clean it looks. No ignorant twats walking into everyone. No selfish people smoking in shop entrances, then throwing it on the ground. No fast food rubbish just being thrown on the ground by more selfish people. More lockdowns might, just might, change selfish habits🤞
@CllrScottArthur @KirstyLewin@CyclingEdin@SpokesLothian@lmacinnessnp@LStreetsScot If you leave a plan with the council. Good planning or not. They will still find a way to destroy the plan??
It’s really not rocket science to reduce congestion. Make travel by vehicles more difficult with increased travel time. Improve walk, cycle & public transport routes 🤷♂️
@edinburghpaper Not surprised when you see people from West Lothian and Fife on the train going in for their Xmas shopping? Essential travel though 🙄
Yet police at Fort Kinnard stopping people who live in Musselburgh or near by Midlothian. I guess if you get the train you’ll be ok 🤷♂️
@Edinburgh_CC I mean you’d think Edin council would have learnt from the bus lanes. If you have parking within the lanes they don’t get used by the traffic you wish to use them. 🙄
@Edinburgh_CC About time cycle infrastructure is put in place that is separate to footpaths. But as is always with Councils in Scotland. They seem to ruin a good idea.
The rollout is a shambles and having parking within a segregated lane defeats the purpose. 🤷♂️🙈
