Joining the Sea Cadets as an adult volunteer is important primarily because volunteers are the backbone of the organisation, enabling the delivery of life-enhancing activities that help young people develop essential life skills and character. Volunteering also offers significant benefits for the volunteers themselves, including personal development and the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

As many of you know the @I_W_M is kicking out over 200 Victoria Crosses at the end of this month as they feel such commemoration of the bravery of our military is so so yesterday… I would like as many people as possible to visit the Lord Ashcroft Gallery before it closes so please repost the message below…#imperialwokemuseum
For every retweet of this post, I will donate £1 to the @VC_and_GC_Assoc up to £50,000.
Time is running out following @I_W_M’s decision to close the Lord Ashcroft Gallery.
Visit while you still can, to honour the bravery of those who risked so much to protect our great nation.
Our traditions are the roots.
Our people are the heart.
Tomorrow, we reveal something that stands for both - a proud tribute to service and sacrifice. ⚓

A sapling stands tall against the wind, young but growing stronger. 🌿
Like generations of sailors & marines, it carries the promise of resilience, honour, and service.
Something meaningful is taking root...announcement coming 1st September.

Cadets gain:
• Improved school engagement
• Greater confidence and resilience
• A sense of belonging
• Opportunities for leadership and teamwork
This support is vital at a time when many young people are struggling with confidence and face low self-esteem.
Meeting the goal of increasing cadet numbers across all the cadet forces does require a corresponding increase in volunteer numbers.
Any adults interested should get in touch with a local unit or detachment. Flexible volunteering and training are offered for uniformed and non-uniform volunteers.
You can make a difference to young people's lives... and your own.
