Wait for it. A barnacle larva does a poo in the plankton and this tiny creature of <1mm plays its role in the global carbon cycle by sending carbon to the seabed. (The larva's stomach is full of green phytoplankton that obtained its carbon from atmospheric CO2.) @zeiss_micro
