The Igbo people of Nigeria didn’t just fight Nigerian soldiers. They also fought Soviet troops who were helping the Nigerian government from 1967 - 1970.
As an Igbo person, be proud of what your ancestors achieved by not allowing Nigerian soldiers, Egyptian pilots, and Soviet support to completely wipe you out.

They matter more than I do!
A lot of people are yet to come to terms with the fact that a toxic adult doesn’t suddenly stop being toxic because they became a parent or grew older. They become a toxic parent, a toxic grandparent, a toxic in-law, a toxic spouse and even a toxic friend. The behavior doesn’t magically disappear. In many cases, their children simply learn to tolerate it.
If you come from a toxic family, do everything you can to protect the home you’re building from the same toxicity you grew up around. You don’t have to carry every family pattern into the next generation.
