VR/AR headsets are starting to get good (Vision Pro next month!!)
But what people sometimes forget is that the greatest experiences the smartphone can offer have not been made yet.
In fact smartphones have • just now • reached almost 90% of human population. 7 billion devices with gyroscopes/cameras/touchscreens & pretty universal UX.
Most people playing a game on their phone have never played a video game (on any platform!) before.
This is our main focus at @Jadu_AR right now: Use camera/gyroscope/touchscreens to create a smartphone experience beyond scrolling 2D content.
“Fighting Game” doesn’t work for everyone (yet) but the interactions we’re trying to build will have many app/imp lications.

the most bearish thing about the blockchain space
everyone wants to launch their own thing. create their own token. they just want to get rich
100 other things that are great could exist, but someone sees the opportunity to get rich and launches another "X" because they want ownership
then they'll come up with some reasons why their solution is better, different, faster, more scalable, etc... but deep down the majority of it all just comes down to straight up greed
you then have more fragmentation, hype cycles drive most of everything happening
until the next person launches the next thing to overtake the previous hype cycle
it's almost never about the tech, it's almost never about what's good or bad, what's right or wrong
for the large large majority of the things you see happening, it just comes down to money, greed, all of the worst things you can think of
there are genuinely good, smart people, with dignity and integrity here, but they usually don't make it very far
my main takeaway from @ethcc is that everyone is building their own slightly different infrastructure protocol, while the vast minority are actually building any apps to run on all of this infrastructure.
the sceptic in me realizes most of these people just want to get rich but i also recognize there are many genuinely necessary things being built, improvements being made, but it all just blurs together at some point
it’s easy to sell hopium to investors, literally you can make enough money to retire before launching *shit* so no wonder this is happening
it’s much harder to ship useful apps, plus when you ship an app you actually have to have real users and not airdrop farmers (running alongside their own bots like most every protocol is also doing)
it feels like living in some alternate universe sometimes where everyone is in this big circle jerk discussing hypothetical and theoretical situations that will happen magically but not so many are doing the actual work to ship apps anyone who is not completely autistic would want to use
this will make me unpopular in a lot of crypto circles where we’re all supposed to pump each others bags into oblivion and use our network as exit liquidity but fuck it i don’t really care
end of the day there are tons of genuinely great people in this space, some of my best friends i’ve had ever are here, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to make a great loving doing it. i just wish there were more smart people applying themselves to the application layer, realizing we may make less money but fuck it who cares we’re still doing better than most people in this world
Holy shit.
I just got attacked with one of the most complex scams in #crypto that I have seen to date.
Please read if you use @coinbase.
This just happened 15 minutes ago.
THIS IS A WARNING FOR ALL COINBASE USERS!
There has been some sort of a data breach.
First, I received a text message saying that my @coinbase 2FA was changed.
I then received three calls from a @coinbase "customer support" that was from a San Fransisco number asking if I was traveling outside of the US and if I requested an email change and a 2FA change. (NOTE: I tried to record this, but couldn't find my wife's phone before they hung up)
I said no to traveling and they said that they cancelled the 2FA and email change request and sent a text to verify it was cancelled.
They then sent me to the 'security' team to verify my account to avoid a 48 hour suspension.
They had my name, my email and my location and sent a 'verification code' email from [email protected] to my personal email.
I told them that I didn't need their assistance and I changed the password already and he told me that it wouldn't work to verify the account and that they would be locking it down for 7 days due to a lack of verification unless I provided the code.
He then got angry and hung up the phone on me after I told him that I wouldn't provide the code.
After the first text, I immediately logged into my #coinbase and changed the password and 2FA and caught on that it was a scam almost immediately, but I doubt that 98-99% of people that get this would realize it and would have unlocked their #coinbase accounts.
For those unaware, the code they sent was my actual 2FA, but they sent it from their own email and were logging into my account to drain it while we were on the phone.
Attached are the texts, phone calls and email from the scammers.
Like and retweet to spread awareness please. Thanks.
The most anticipated liquidity drain from markets is here, with many headlines foreseeing turbulence ahead. Yet, its effects might not deliver the impact many believe. Hidden forces have emerged, acting against a liquidity squeeze. The “Transitory Pause” is here... 1/
