Postgrad @ES_UCL with a focus on geochemistry as a proxy for climate and biogeographic change. Passionate about decolonisation, intersectionality, and history.
Altogether a lovely time in Bristol for @vmsg2024 - great to hear about all the quality science being done, along with getting some new ideas on my own work as well. I just hope the trains work on the way home…
You don't have to read my most recent article on flax and linen production but King Henry II would be disappointed if you didn't....

Delighted, nervous, and a little emotional sharing this @NatGeo story with friends and colleagues at @ES_UCL. I was incredibly touched to see such a packed room, thank you so much for a wonderful evening everyone ❤️
A question just popped into my head:
We talk about old-growth forests and old-growth grasslands and the properties that distinguish them.
Are there old-growth microbial communities? what are their properties?
Any thoughts? does this same idea apply?
