@stevemagness I’ve also found it easier to be “tough” when you are really out of shape (after a lay-off or an injury) and you race, because you expect it to hurt more
@Jeukendrup@GoZwift Surely your setup indoors in terms of temp and cooling (fan) impacts your sweat rate and HR and thus possibly your nutrition indoors vs outdoors?
@BiomechMax@Go1MoreMile@NCAA Assume it’s just for student athletes (and free). They posted a video on social media of athletes cooking and the final product about a year ago (not sure if it was twitter or IG). Sorry just a Buff fan not an athlete/coach at CU
@Anto7@sweatscience@AlpineCols Ran 1:06 half on zero fuel or fluids but failed miserably at first few marathons because I wasn’t taking in gels only electrolytes (and probably just as importantly I was eating a very high carb diet). I was running 22/24 mile long runs and 100+ miles a week but was bonking early
@coachjayjohnson Oh the irony! Since we ran hard 3 x week (M, W& F) and tempos were often more like races (for me and most). Wasn’t until I met Wetmore that I started to understand the value of paying attention to how I felt and that I didn’t have to crush every workout.
@hansonsrun Why do we need all that support and cushioning when NOT running? Structured/cushioned shoes only tend to perpetuate imbalances/weaknesses in the foot. Foot health is part of health/recovery
