@DanielW_Kiwi Electricity is only ~$0.11/kwh (going up to ~$0.15/kwh with higher usage). The city owned monopoly will pay you ~$0.09/kwh hour for every you produce, but will charge you at normal rates for every KWh you use. They call this scheme "value of solar".
@DucPati@Alex_Fairfax06 I think "as a guitar player", is the underrated part.
Prince was quite the entertainer, but a lot of people didn't know he had that sort of guitar chops because you never saw it on MTV.
@cpuarchitect@nullset2@cnlohr much of apple silicon's efficiency benefit comes from ram on package, wide busses and short traces.
There's other micro-architectural benefits, but "RISC vs. CISC" ain't one of them.
@awakecoding At least 20 years ago when we were looking at it windows IO was just slower. This was a the same cross compiler making binaries for cortex-m class devices. (Might have been arm9 at the time). Same codebase, same tools vendor, windows was just slower
@AeonCoin@proc0@Pipe42uk@peter_szilagyi The 59.4hz hum is almost certainly some artifact of the frame rate generation affecting the microphone/ADC. Probably the power draw of the video encoding (running at NTSC frame rates) causes power supply droop that bleeds into the analog audio system.
@AeonCoin@proc0@Pipe42uk@peter_szilagyi Power lines are nominally 60hz and are specced to average out to 60hz over a days time, but at any given time are not exactly 60hz.
@bytebot@thorstenball Yeah, that was my question.
Why do they care what their GitHub name is? It's not going to be public facing unless maybe they want to use it as a "free" Wiki/website for their business.
