Gaming just feels really sad right now. Layoffs every other week. Told you must accept GenAI slop or you won't survive. If a game doesn't have 400k concurrent players it's a "dead game"
I'm just tired. This isn't how I remember gaming, it used to feel more magical, yeah...

@ZypZapCommunity@InsiderGamingIG By default he behaves the same each match (except randomness values ofc) however using the affix system you can increase it's dangerousness and the Omen (ghost player) can even buff it to go faster.
Solve the objectives, survive the killer Android hunting you, and hunt from the shadows as the Mimic.
We spoke with creator @RyanLaley about the Mimic's premise, features, and more as part of our 28 Games Later Showcase.
Check it out ahead of Mimic's October 27 release
Excited to share that Mimic has over 20,000 wishlists and counting. Can we get to 30,000 by EA launch October 27th? (Psst.. also it's my birthday today 🎂)

This is welcome news. Of all the platforms, I feel the Microsoft Dev portal is the most confusing to navigate and manage releases on. Overly convuluted. Happy to see it get some attention
We’ve heard the feedback from developers: bringing a game to XBOX should be easier than it is today. We agree, and we’re working to make it better. We care deeply about ID@XBOX and the developers who build for XBOX. We’re starting with some of the areas we know can create unnecessary friction, including our concept and publishing processes, and simplifying them so developers can spend less time navigating process and more time bringing great games to players. More soon.

@iBrews Competition inspires innovation. The tech that steam frame introduces regarding the connection and latency is the most exciting part for me.
And it's work on the software level to get it running on mobile chip sets is cool
Much needed forward momentum in this space.

Going mad trying to figure out why my contextual animation isn't warping to correct position.
Anyone else ever have this much trouble with FPV contextual animations between two players, namely rotational warping?
I have an interesting proposal to improve social behaviour in everyday life.
Reward AI users with bonus time/credits if they use 'please' and 'thank you' in their AI chat requests.
Curious to see the impact
The most powerful system in RPG design is also the dumbest one:
Game Flags. Plain booleans.
Silent Hill runs its entire progression, game flow, and cutscenes on them.
You don't need a fancy quest framework. You need a list of flags and the discipline to check them.
