@LRiddickESPN Josh Allen should be forcing his way out. You espn clowns just cant stop makiny bs up. Bengals have gone out and done evrything they can and shut ppl like you up.
OOH MAN. The Bengals took a shot at the Ravens in their schedule release video
They show Joe Burrow hugging Maxx Crosby as the narrator says “We’re division rivals, you can’t back out of this one.” 😏🤣😅
Bengals trade for 28 y/o DT: “He’s ancient, he’s basically 30 his career will be cooked soon”
Ravens sign 31 + 39 y/o DEs: “Smart, savy veteran pickups. These guys are both still playing at a high level and have a lot left in the tank”
I have been hypercritical of the Cincinnati Bengals over the last 14 months, but must give them their deserved praise for what they have been willing and able to do the past two off-seasons collectively.
They were able to lock up Tee Higgins and Mike Gesicki (along with Burrow and Chase), bring back the entire starting OL (1 year deal for Risner and ext for Brown Jr.). They gave Trey Hendrickson an increase (as painful as it was and I was one asking for a long term deal). They traded for one of the very best DTs in football and extended him to ensure they have him for 3 years (basically swapping Hendrickson for Lawrence), and upgrading the interior of the line in the process with Allen (and obviously Lawrence).
They brought in young players to hopefully bolster the Edge in Mafe and Howell. They signed a high end safety to upper market money. The defensive makeover is impressive.
In all, this was a very solid offseason for Cincinnati. Hopefully there is no contract drama (looking at pick 41 and the desire to continue the trend of fully guaranteed contracts for 2nd round picks).
“I think they have improved as much as any football team in the NFL this off-season…this is the most complete team that Joe Burrow has had since the Super Bowl run.”
