indeed ,it’s a proud moment for all of us to see the diverse backgrounds of 2026 fields medalist but it also goes to show that mathematics,like all knowledge, is an international endeavour.of course,somehow,they all end up in usa and specially @Princeton university-the mecca of mathematicians.

but what is “good energy” ? is it low carbon energy?

as of 2025 iea report , only about 21% of total final energy consumption in the world is in the form of electricity. and of which only about 42% is generated through clean sources. thereby , just a little over 8% of the total energy consumed is “good energy”.
