Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI.

We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do.

I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists.

We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison.

I spent the last week converting 365 hand-drawn plants into a garden for your iPhone🌱

Two weeks ago, @samdape and I dropped one year widget for iPhone so ppl can see how many days are left in the year.

But, for a lot of ppl (and ourselves) it sorta felt like a dooms day clock lol.

There are ppl that do their best work under positive pressure, but there are a ton of ppl that would rather see growth over time.

So, Sam drew 365 plants, animals + other garden things so you can see a literal garden grow with you throughout the year.

The coolest part is every day has a unique hand-drawn plant, and every garden is unique :).

Tbh, I'm proud as hell of this thing.

And, I hope it motivates you to do something great every day 🌸

@drawsgood @novikoff Could you offset the black tears in the parts of the scroll that are “unopened” top and bottom? Might lock in the scrolling effect. If it is done using masks it should be easy?
