🚨STATE WEEK🚨
You can always find our info on our T&F website, but here is what State Week looks like.
Please note that practice will be held at 11am on Thursday.
We will communicate departure times with athletes as we get a better idea of their travel plans!
We are transitioning over to a combined Track/XC account. We will be posting exclusively there and deactivating this account soon! Go follow @SC_Track_XC
We had sunshine as we put in hill sprints to close out Week 12 of our off-season.
Salina Central, Smoky Valley, Hesston, Southeast of Saline, Bennington and Salina South Middle had runners in attendance.

Thank you from me and the students at Salina Central. You don't ask for a lot of “thanks” but I believe every once in a while it’s necessary. The amount of work that you do in every aspect of your job whether in the classroom or in coaching is greatly appreciated!! Congrats!
5A STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌧️
History was made in both 5A championship races at Rim Rock Farm, as upsets and dominating performances highlighted the season finale.
After being even through the first two miles, Spring Hill’s Logan Beckman put his foot on the gas and pulled away from the pack to win his first-ever 5A state title. Beckman clocked 15:23.94, the second-fastest time of the day. Beckman also led Spring Hill to their first state title in program history, knocking off the two-time defending champions Blue Valley Southwest, 35-40.
On the girl’s side, Salina Central senior Katelyn Rupe successfully notched the three-peat, winning her third consecutive state title in cross country, and her seventh overall. Rupe took down pulled away late and broke the tape in 17:09.77, a new Rim Rock Farm course record. For the third-straight year and fifth time since 2017, the ladies of St. James were crowned 5A champions, moving up over the last two miles to pull away for a 77-93 victory over Kapaun Mt. Carmel.
Congratulations to all of the 5A runners and teams for a great season!
