Join us Sat Dec 30 from 9-11 am to clean up sidewalks along an important school walking route for kids in West Seattle!
Meet near SW Orchard St & Dumar Way SW (Google Maps link): https://t.co/24R0pOD486
If you can, bring gloves, trimmers, shovels, rakes, etc. (pic by @jeremycole)
The reason our group exists is because there is a lack of attention given to safe & accessible sidewalks & bike lanes across the city versus the overwhelming attention given to ensuring motorist accessibility. We do what we can to help in spite of the inequity in our city.
Seattleites can do our part to keep sidewalks, planting strips, and gutters clear where we live or own a business.
This helps prevent the sidewalk from becoming slippery when itโs wet or freezing.
Thank you to the many neighbors that pitch in and help.
